Not exactly what I expected.

So little back story to before I explain what this smells like.. When I was a teenager my friends and I would go to the mall and purposely walk by Abercrombie & Fitch numerous times to just smell the place... I was expecting THAT smell, I don't know how to explain it but if you have ever walked by one of the stores you probably know what I am talking about. It smells more like Old Spice/Irish Spring to me than Abercrombie & Fitch. It still smells good but I was expecting a flashback to my teen years but just didn't get that. Super disappointed about that. Still excited to soap with it though.

Pretty Close to the Real Thing

Of four companies whom I tried their "Fierce" duplicate, VCS has the Fierce Type which is actually the closest fragrance to the "real" thing. Very comparable to A&F Fierce, but not very strong hot scent throw. The cold scent throw is amazing, but it loses something in the hot throw.

Very convincing close imitation

I would say that this is about a 98% representation of the true signature scent. When smelling it by itself you probably would not notice a huge difference. When you smell them side by side, you can tell there is subtle difference. There is an enhanced note that is slightly detectable in this version, but not so much to completely throw it off. All in all the fragrance is close enough to pretty much meet the intent of the aroma you would be going after if you are looking for Fierce. In fact they could almost make these notes the cologne and there would not be too much of a departure from the current formulation.

Brings back memories

Reminds me of stepping into the mall and smelling the amazing aroma of the Abercrombie store. I use this in my diffuser daily to keep the memory alive!
